I spend a lot of my music budget on vinyl. I used to be real picky about remastering it to CD-R; painstakingly de-noising and making it sound as good as technically possible with my limited resources; to the tune of 6-10 discs worth a year. Meanwhile I have a 30+ year backlog of records that’s just getting larger. Starting in June, 2011, I have started to try making a CD-R a week of digitized vinyl goodies, noise and all, because they’re not doing my ears any good sitting on the racks.
