rangster – It does boggle the mind, doesn’t it? I just did the near-infinite scroll of the roster and there were 35 acts that are in my Record Cell. Though I did notice that some acts were in the list multiple times. But Bryan Ferry would still top out my gig wish list. Though maybe OMD could too.

Ah hah! I wondered how OMD could take back seat to Mr. Ferry for your personal living room concert. 35 living acts from the cell? Not bad. A number that’s sure to diminish significantly over the next decade or two, so see ’em when you can!
I shudder to think what one would have to pay for a date with Annie St. V but money has nothing to do with intensity, does it? It would be a happening of sidelong consequence. The agency accountants rejoice. You attain true nirvana. Over and out.

rangster – As much as I love OMD [hint: a LOT] Ferry is still the more significant artist in the grand scheme of things. But OMD can still give a performance that is no longer possible for the elder Ferry.

OMG – that list of groups is amazing – I like most of them and they span across the generations as well.
By the way, some of my European friends (who are super live concert aficionados) just saw Roxy (with Bryan) in London…said it was a great show.
Break, break – oddest concert I went to this year was Kraftwerk in 3-D in Bonn outside with an audience of mainly Germans….uhh, interesting, but Kraftwerk was great.

And, yes, Andy and the rest of OMD can still do a great show. His voice is still amazing – I got my 2-CD set of the Royal Albert Hall show and it is phenomenal.

Deserat – OMD have too many live albums for my taste now and I no longer buy each one. Still, they’re no Gary Numan who releases at least one live album per tour! And none of his are compelling to me.

Deserat – Actual Germans at a Kraftwerk concert??! This seems new to me. I recall my best friend in 4th grade moved away to Germany where his dad was stationed. He visited where he moved from three years later. I was in 7th grade by then and asked him about how Kraftwerk were regarded in their own country. He said that every body listened to Jethro Tull! Who was Kraftwerk?!
