More Associates Needed…

When it rains, it pours. The more research that I do, the more I find I’m needing. When I last wrote on this topic, there were six discs that I still needed for my new Associates project. But wait, there’s more! Now how much must I pay? Fortunately, I have so much remastering to do, that I feel comfortable beginning without having everything on hand. If I get it all in the next few months it should work out fine.

Billy MacKenzie/Steve Aungle – Return To Love (Destination pop 7″)
This brand new 7″ features the uptempo demo version of “Return To Love,” a track from the now OOP “Eurocentric” album of tracks made with Steve Aungle and released in 2001. It’s released on new Gilbert Blecken’s Destination Pop label. Be sure to read Steve’s blog for his amazing tales of life as Billy MacKenzie’s friend and musical conspirator.

Various Artists – RetroActive | Vol 3 (Hi-Bias HIB-10262)
The third disc in this Canadian series of vintage remixes features a copy of “Take Me To The Girl” extended 12″ mix digitized from the master tape.

Shakespeare’s Sister – # 3 (SF Records SFCD002)
The last thing Billy recorded was his backing vocals on the track “Do I Scare You?” on the long-suppressed third Shakespeare’s Sister album. The album finally saw release in 2005 and is still available.

Sweden Through The Ages – It Helps To Cry 12”  (Snappy Records SW 001)
MacKenzie sings on and produced this obscure, indie 12″ single. It’s out there, on the continent, and it isn’t cheap!
